One of our favorite moments here at Kilburn Mill at Clarks Cove took place this past winter in the Kilburn Event Center. It was when the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra came to perform a concert of movie tunes in the space to a packed house. It truly was a night to remember.

The Kilburn Event Center was built out in an astonishing 45 days to house last summer’s blockbuster art exhibit, “A Grand Panorama of Whaling Voyage ‘Round the World.” It, too, was a big moment for us here in Kilburn – and we were proud to host the show for the New Bedford Whaling Museum.

Culture matters in New Bedford – it’s in the lifeblood of the city and also part of the 21st century identity of Kilburn Mill, home to many artists and an Artisan Center in addition to the multi-purpose Event Center.

We’re happy to share that the NBSO is once again on the road. “Music in the City” will bring smaller concerts to venues throughout New Bedford all summer long.

We’re pleased we can share this news and the Music in the City schedule on this blog with you below. Because we love being part of the fabric of this community and always want to do what we can to celebrate its cultural achievements with the extended Kilburn family.

The entire Music in the City performance list is below.
