Kilburn Mill’s Annual Pumpkin Carving Competition Brings Community Together
This year’s Pumpkin Carving Competition at Kilburn Mill was another exciting celebration of creativity, fall fun, and community spirit. Families from across the SouthCoast stopped by the Mill on Saturday, October 25, to pick up a free pumpkin—one per household, while supplies lasted—and take part in a seasonal tradition that grows more popular each year.

Thanks to the generosity of Pedro’s Dairy in Westport, the Mill was able to provide high-quality pumpkins for participants to take home and carve into their most imaginative designs. From classic Halloween themes to inventive artistic creations, the level of talent this year did not disappoint.
How the Competition Worked

Participants were invited to bring their pumpkins home, carve their most creative ideas, and photograph their finished designs. Entries were submitted by email to the Kilburn Mill team, with a deadline of November 1.
All photos were reviewed, and after much deliberation, the top three most creative submissions were selected. Each of the winners earned a $50 gift card as a prize.

Announcing the Winners
Kilburn Mill extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated this year. The turnout was strong, the creativity was impressive, and the enthusiasm helped make this community event a memorable success.

Congratulations to the three winners of this year’s contest. Gift cards may be picked up at the Kilburn Mill office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., or on weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A Community Tradition That Continues to Grow
The annual Pumpkin Carving Competition is just one of the many ways Kilburn Mill brings people together through seasonal events and community engagement. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Halloween celebration special, and we look forward to seeing even more incredible pumpkin designs next year.
